Description
40′HT – HARD TOP
Container Open Top is used for transporting cargo that due to its size can be loaded only vertically (lowered into the container from the top). The same 40′HT – HARD TOP containers are used for oversized cargo whose height is higher than the standard container.
Container Open Top typically has a removable roof from canvas or another similar material. Less common is Hard Top with a removable hard roof. A characteristic feature of Open Top and Hard Top is a removable top crossbar at the end of the container which is used for the convenience of handling activities.
OUG (OOG) Out Of Gauge – the cargo size exceeds the size of the standard container (protruding out of the container).

The 40ft high cube container has an exterior height of 9’6” which is 1 foot taller than the standard height of shipping containers. They are designed to accommodate those needing to store or transport larger oversized items that don’t fit inside standard-height containers.
A one-trip container is only shipped once from the factory to the USA. This container is built with 14 gauge CORTEN anti-corrosive steel. CORTEN steel has better rust properties than conventional steel. This contributes to the improved longevity of shipping containers.
The container floors are built with 1-1/8” marine-grade plywood. The quality of this plywood surpasses that of regular plywood because it has a high density, which helps prevent fungi and termites.
